Who is responsible for your data
Comfy Rent a Car is responsible for personal data collected through comfy.gr and the Comfy booking service. The legal contracting entity and its formal company details are identified in your booking confirmation and rental agreement. For privacy questions, contact info@comfy.gr.
Data we collect
Depending on how you use the site, we may receive your name, email address, telephone number, city/country, age, number of passengers, arrival details such as flight or ferry information, booking dates and locations, vehicle and extras selected, payment method, booking reference, messages you send us, and technical information needed to keep the website secure and working.
Why we use it
We use personal data to answer enquiries, check availability, prepare and manage rental requests, communicate booking information, arrange vehicle collection and return, process or reconcile payments through the selected payment provider, prevent abuse and fraud, keep operational records, and comply with legal or accounting obligations.
Legal bases
Depending on the situation, processing is necessary to take steps at your request before entering a rental contract, to perform the rental contract, to meet legal obligations, or for legitimate interests such as website security, service administration and fraud prevention. Optional analytics or marketing technologies should only be used where the required consent has been obtained.
Who may receive data
Information may be shared only where needed with service providers involved in hosting, email, payment processing, security, technical support or other services necessary to operate the booking. It may also be disclosed where required by law or a competent authority. Comfy does not sell personal data to advertisers.
How long we keep it
We keep information only for as long as needed for the purpose for which it was collected, including booking administration, customer support, dispute handling and legal, tax or accounting requirements. Enquiries that do not become bookings may be deleted earlier when they are no longer needed.
Your rights
Subject to applicable law, you may request access, correction or deletion of personal data, restriction of processing, portability where applicable, or object to certain processing. Where processing is based on consent, you may withdraw that consent. You may also contact the Hellenic Data Protection Authority if you believe your data-protection rights have been infringed.
Security
Comfy uses reasonable technical and organisational measures designed to protect personal data. The contact form also uses anti-abuse controls such as Cloudflare Turnstile. No internet service can promise absolute security, so please avoid sending unnecessary sensitive information through free-text fields.
