Future-ready service
We are preparing our Kasteli Airport car rental service before the new airport opens, so the information and booking flow can be ready when travellers need it.
The new Heraklion International Airport at Kasteli is not open yet. Comfy is getting ready so future arrivals can collect a car and start exploring Crete with less fuss.
Kasteli Airport, also known as the new Heraklion International Airport, is being developed as the future replacement for the existing Heraklion Nikos Kazantzakis Airport. The new airport is expected to begin operations in 2028.
Comfy is preparing for that change now. This page will become our main hub for Kasteli Airport car rental information, collection details, available vehicle categories and useful driving advice as the opening gets closer.
For now, travellers can continue to book Comfy cars from active locations across Crete, including Heraklion Airport and Chania Airport. When Kasteli becomes operational, we will update the booking system and this page with the exact collection procedure.

Useful service, practical cars and clear communication, prepared before the new airport starts welcoming travellers.

Drive toward the island capital for the old harbour, museums, restaurants and city centre, then continue your road trip from there.
Head toward the popular north-coast resorts while keeping the freedom to stop at villages, beaches and attractions along the way.
Continue east toward Lasithi for seaside towns, resorts, beaches and day trips around one of Crete’s most popular regions.
Use your rental car to explore inland villages, the Lasithi Plateau and routes toward the quieter south coast at your own pace.
Kasteli will change how many visitors arrive in central Crete. A little preparation now will make the switch much easier when the airport opens.
